The screw fitting, 26 watt bulb provides the same levels of light as natural sunlight and the stand maximises the output of the bulb. It also allows customers to neatly position it over their bird’s cage.
Without enough UVA and UVB, a bird can’t synthesise Vitamin D3 in their skin or in the preening gland. This means they can’t produce calcium, that they need to grow and to build strong bones and beak. Plus, it allows them to see in full colour and identify mates and other species.
