Conure - Large Toys

There are hundreds of styles of toy to choose from, something for every Large Conure to enjoy.

Wood and rope is the most popular material used to make toys. Parrots love chewing on the wood and preening with the rope. Customers can hide treats inside them for their bird to find too.

This turns them into a foraging toy. There are two main styles of foraging toy available, chewable and reusable. Reusable foraging toys are made from tough materials like polycarbonate, so a Parrot has to move and turn the toy around to get to the prize inside.

In chewable foraging toys, Large Conures, like the Patagonian Conure, need to chew, shred and tear the way through the materials to uncover their goodies.

Cardboard and paper toys, as their name suggests, are made from materials that are interesting to shred through. This gives beak and feet a work-out as well.

Foot toys provide a Large Conure with exercise through play. Parrots can carry these toys around in their feet or beak, chewing and turning them around as they go.

Like all Parrots Large Conures are active birds, so giving them a swing or climbing toy provides them with physical exercise, swinging from and climbing up and down these toys. Plus, many have pieces to chew on as the Parrot plays.

Encourage customers to revamp their bird’s current toys or build an exciting new one with the toy-making parts. It sparks a bird’s interest and encourages them to play with the toy once again. Parts include rope strips, blocks and wheels.

More time can be spent between Parrot and owner with activity and trick toys. Customers can teach their Parrot how to talk, identify colours and numbers and play sports such as basketball.
