African Grey Accessories

African Grey Parrots are one of the bigger Parrot species, so require a good size perch to take their weight. There are nail trimming perches, edible perches and perches that bend into different shapes to choose from.

Another place African Grey Parrots like to rest on is on a stand. It means a customer can take them around their home. These also come in a range of colours and styles.

As well as retrieving food from a toy African Grey Parrots need to have feeding dishes throughout their cage to tuck into food from whenever they like.

In the wild savannahs of Africa, an African Grey Parrot might spend many hours flying around, so they need to learn this important skill when they’re companion birds too. A harness allows them to fly safely.

Also in the wild, a Parrot would retreat to the hollows of tree cavities when they feel threatened. They don’t have trees when kept as companion birds but a warm and cosy hideaway is a nice alternative.

African Greys need the correct amounts of light and darkness. A UV light gives them UVA and UVB so they can synthesise Vitamin D3 and then calcium.

An African Grey and the area around them stays lovely and clean with misters, baths and sand and sanded sheets. Misters give birds a fine release of water, baths cover their whole body and sand and sanded sheets collect mess at the bottom of the cage. Other cleaning products and disinfectants are available too.
