Rolf C Hagen started Hagen in 1955. He used the highest quality ingredients and manufacturing methods then, and continues to do so. All the staff are passionate about animals and the products they create.

In 1985 the Hagen Avicultural Research Institute (HARI) was founded. Over 400 Parrots live there and their behaviour, breeding and dietary habits are all studied. Their findings are then implemented in their products.

Hari’s different brands include Tropican, Tropimix and Living World Premium.
